
About Clarity School Psychological Services
Clarity School Psychological Services, LLC, was established to provide psycho-educational evaluation services to school districts and parents, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and therapeutic support for adolescents, teens and college students up to age 22, and consultative services for parents. Conveniently located in a professional office building opposite the Norwood Airport, Clarity offers appointments after school hours and some Saturdays each month.
Please note that Clarity School Psychological Services does not currently accept insurance; however, we do provide receipts that our clients can use with their Flexible Spending Account. Most major credit cards are accepted.
About Dr. Chimienti
Dr. Joseph Chimienti is a Licensed Educational Psychologist at a high school in the Boston Metro-West area. He conducts psycho-educational evaluations, providing Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Teams with the information they need for initial or continued eligibility determinations for special education and 504 re-qualifications.
Dr. C has a group of students in therapy on a one-to-one basis for individual counseling or emotional support. He provides ad-hoc crisis intervention services and consults with teachers on various issues that prevent students from accessing the academic curriculum. In addition to this work, Dr. C has district-wide responsibilities for testing all students in grades K-12 who are being educated outside the district when the educational agencies in which they are outplaced are not staffed to conduct psycho-educational evaluations.
In addition to his MBA, Dr. Chimienti holds a Master of Science degree in School Psychology and has over 3,000 hours of clinically supervised experience working with adolescents and teens. He holds a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) in Human Developmental Psychology and a certificate from New York University in diagnosing adolescent mental health conditions. Dr. Chimienti has over 16 years of experience working with children and adolescents, aged 8-22, and holds both Educational and School Psychologist licenses in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
